when i had nothing to lose, i had everything.

New Year's Eve of 2009 is almost upon us. With the clock ticking, I have been pondering what to make of the new year.

I can feel 2010 in my bones. A rhythmic level of sheer bliss. Of course there must be balance within our lives, but something about this next year fills my heart with adventure, courage for new attainments, and filling my life with the things and people that I love.

2009 has been a wonderful year, both trying and abundant. I would like to pay particular attention and gratitude to the moments & people, who throughout the year have brought me to where I am today. Elizabeth Gilbert highlights a particular quote from Sufi in Eat, Pray, Love that finely outlines this idea.

"God long ago drew a circle in the sand exactly around the spot where you are standing right now. I was never not coming here. This was never not going to happen."

Trust yourself in this mad world. :)
With that said, let me highlight a few things that inspire me for 2010.
Yoga.
Dancing through life.

Love life, one another and most importantly yourself.

Do what you love.

Happiness, traveling and just letting go.

Good Vibrations

For the past year I have been trying to make it to Back Bay Yoga's hip hop class and this morning I FINALLY made it there. Yoga should always be put to music because not only are you releasing all your toxins, but you begin to take in the rhythm of the music and surrender to it. Needless to say I'm feeling pretty good this morning.

I wanted to share with you what I've been grooving to since I walked in the door. :)

I didn't really know what I was in for with this video, but please enjoy the eye candy as well!

( I thought you would get a kick out of this one Genger. )

Where the Wild Bees Are?

November already?
Where did the time go?

Before I go any further I want to delve into the significance of this blog.

Inspiration found me during a time when Boston couldn't find its sunshine due to a loss of a very beautiful spirit within our community. I had already planned a trip months in advance and the timing couldn't have been more right. I could no longer stand the sadness within my city and fled to a place that is my zen away from home, Delaware.

One morning I decided to take advantage of Jen's wi-fi and write some e-mails on her porch. As I was writing to one of my girlfriends and spooning the last contents of my honey greek yogurt I felt a rather sharp pain zap me in my back. I felt for it with my hands and feeling the discomfort I wondered what it was and OUCH! it happened again to my caboose. I knew something was wrong so I leaped up from my chair and shimmeyed my pants off in a rather graceful manner... as you can imagine. And flung up the stairs whining to Jen.

It just so happened that my back was covered in little bumps.

Fleeing to the scene we picked up the evidence or the lack there of and in my pants lay a bee flapping his wings with no where to go. He had it from the start and as I made my way to the couch (and Jen iced me) she made the journey back to the deck to say a few choice words, "Let this be a lesson to your friends," and took my Tom shoe and showed that bee the stairway to heaven.

Yes, the bee sting hurt BUT I realized that I could feel it. I felt so lucky to feel the pain that a bee could give. I never realized how lucky it was to feel pain because it simply meant that I was alive, breathing and able to bee....

In honor of those we have lost, we are able to breathe, live and do the things that make us happy and carry their spirit with us along the way. I hope to share with you the simple things that make me happy and color your world with what I believe to be the pure essence of life.

***As a very important side note Tracy would always find me on the days when I needed her beautiful smile and I can only hope that by sharing my happiness, I'm spreading her bliss for life by giving you mine.

Vita Nova

To all those that I love,
This is the beginning of a beautiful thing. This is a space I'm creating that gives me the freedom to express all the things that make me happy and hopefully in turn can find a special place in your heart. I'm not going to tell much more because I'm hoping this will manifest into something greater, but please stay tuned.
